When Street Forge was first started it was based entirely around the workshop and today it continues to produce some very high quality work.

We make a large range of products from village signs and church notice boards to garden benches and picnic tables, usually on a commission basis, though we do make small items for Crafty Corner, our retail outlet. A price-list is available for benches and picnic tables. Please either phone or visit if you have other requirements that you think we might be able to help you with.

The skills we utilise include turning, carving and pyrography. We have an all inclusive approach allowing trainees (and staff and volunteers) to sample all the different disciplines. We try to arrange programmes for each trainee on an individual basis according to his or her attendance pattern and abilities. Our approach to problem solving has to be inventive, as many of our trainees can only use one hand, or are in a wheelchair.
